This demo is a small experiment all about nostalgia for classic point and click adventure, an inspiring device for testing out some amazing features from the Engine and some useful tools as the native “NavMeshAgent” to let the player move over Walkable areas or Custom Shaders to simulate challenging surfaces as “Sea Water”, “Grass” or the “Starry Sky” as we identified them core elements of the gameplay and visual composition in the original game.
The primary goal was to reach, or just to try to get as close as we could to the similar beautiful feeling belonging to references from the original game utilizing Unity Engine as our tool.
At the same time we wanted to explore what could have been the feeling of glancing at grass and water moving touched by different light sources in a realtime soup, diving deep in such dreamy, classic, magic, environment.
So we imagined our “Bleeding Pixel Games Original Character – Hundred” going back to the shipwrecks town, many years later the time span of the original story, to say hello to an old friend, in fully respect – we hope – to the legendary game that inspired us in the first place.
